The first Sunday in December, Kelsey and Sean tied the knot. There was Shakespeare, there was unseasonably warm weather (seventy degrees for a winter wedding - welcome to NC and all of her unpredictable glory), there was a near shoe emergency, and there was a comfortable, familiar love available in spades.
Gorgeous tile floors + calligraphy for the win! I believe my dream kitchen has tiling something like this.
I shot these before Kelsey and Sean had their first look - Kelsey’s first question when I returned to the bridal suite was, “Doesn’t the tweed look good?”
Mr. Furr, Kelsey’s dad.
Kelsey’s sweet mom, helping get everything in order for the first look.
Sometimes, wedding coordinators make a surprise appearance in portraits.
“Hey guys, would you be open to shooting portraits in the cemetery?”
Like that’s a totally normal wedding photographer thing to say. Kelsey and Sean were sweet enough to jump in to the idea, and I’m honestly quite pleased with the results.
Grand entry blur. Kelsey and Sean had their reception at the lovely Cafe Luna, an Italian eatery three blocks from the church.
Slightly teary after speeches + prayers.
